me and my boyfriend dated for a little over a month, and he broke up with me over a text but he was at least honest; saying he was too involved in sports to be dating. ofcourse that hurt me but i just said it was okay and that i understood. but then a couple of days later he texted me saying he never understood why he said that and he wanted me back. so i said fine ill give you another chance. but then not even 2 weeks went by that his friend texted me saying he cheated on me with some girl he met with his family. so i texted him and he told me i should "Dump" him. so i did; but then the next day my friend said she was hanging out with him that night and he said he wanted to think of a way to "dump" me, so he decided to choose that. it was so dumb and text message break up is so elementary school. get a life!

me and my boyfriend datted a couple of months...and he sent a text sayin he dont think i love him so he dumped me in a text and then he said he broke up with me cause his dad left them but i went to his sisters party like a day after and there dad was there and i asked were my ex was and he said at his girlfriends house....he is a freakin jerk......

I dont thik anyone should break up over text message, it pretty much means your too much of a ... to break up in person. It hurts more because you cant even hear the persons voice for the last time. And no staying freidns isnt always the answer
